Check out {his} GRILL!

Oh boy.. I think I have a new favorite Christmas decoration!! I just was at my all time favorite store (Joann's) picking up some fabric. Well this little dude caught my eye. I am loving all things glitter lately! :)
Check out his hair! :) (and his blingin' staff!..is that how you spell it? I almost spelled it STAPH but isn't that some nasty kind of infection??)
... and his GRILL!
Oh my sweet little Emery who refuses to wear anything but these silly princess dresses lately.

Wanna hear the best part of this blingin' dude?? Well 2 parts.. he was only $12!! AND... Emery is walking around the house going "Daddy.. he is going to crack your nuts!!" HAHAHAHAHA!! Where she got that from?? I have no idea!

Sweet Little Anisten!!

I was out to dinner with some friends the other day when one of them
mentioned that I haven't been very good at updating my blog!!
(weird... I know!) I thought I'd start with my little Anisten. Boy oh
boy. Has she been a treat!! Everyone is constantly commenting on her
happy sweet personality! She is ALWAYS so happy. Quite a change from 3
months ago. For the first 7 months of this little girls life she had
acid reflux really bad. She would cry constantly. It didn't matter if
you were holding her or not. The poor girl was always sad. I can
honestly say those were the hardest and most draining 7 months of MY
LIFE!! Once she started sitting up and crawling around she turned
(overnight!) into the happiest little thing! ;) We took her to her 9
month check up last week and here are her stats.

Weight: 14.9 Lbs.
Length: 21 inches

Her first two bottom teeth pooped up last week and she was such a gem
through it all. I didn't even know they were coming through. She has
mastered crawling and pulling herself up on things and has now moved
onto standing up on her own. She always wants to be walked around
while holding onto our fingers and seems so proud when she does it.

Oh we just love this little girl to pieces!!

I want one of these SOOO bad. I just think it is the cutest little thing. I just can't decide whether I like the Brown or the White and Pink. Probably the brown. Hmm.. maybe for Christmas?

For Sale!

I have 3 pieces of gridwall and about 75 hooks for sale. Anyone need them? I bought them from a scrapbook store in Draper when they closed down and now I don't need them. They would be perfect for boutiques (which is what I used them for!) Each piece is 2 feet by 8 feet tall. I bought them for $75 plus whatever the hooks were (usually between $.50-$.75 each) and I am selling it all for $50! These aren't the exact pieces, just wanted to show you what they look like! :)

Let me know if anyone is interested at tarathueson {at} gmail {dot} com

There were too many choices for this title...

OH.MY.GOSH!!!!! wanna hear how hilarious this is? (this might also
give you some insight to my sense of humor!)

So we have been having problems (MAJOR understatement) with Emery
lately and bedtime. Seriously...nightime is the worst. Anyway, that's
beside the point. So not one..not two.. But three days ago I forced
Emery to take a nap. She screamed and threw a fit so I decided to let
her nap in our bed SANS pull-ups. (that was also part of her fit..she
wanted to wear panties to bed) She had just pottied so I figured what
the heck? Well as Braun and I were hopping into bed tonight (3 days
later) he notices a big yellow spot on HIS side of the bed and
says.."Tara, has Emery been sleeping in our bed?" oh gosh... I looked
and about died laughing. He's been sleeping in her PEE for 3 days!
Hahahahahaha!!! If that would of been my side I wouldn't of laughed. I
probably would of thrown up a little. Oh the joys of kids!!!

(this picture was taken this morning. Look how scrunched poor Braun
was!) (oh and Emery usually doesn't sleep in the nude.. She must've
gotten hot mid night and stripped!)

Paula Deen.. You've done it AGAIN!!

I made the YUMMIEST soup last night for dinner. You all MUST try it. I made quite a few changes to it because.. well just because I did. I will link you to Paula's Version but will just write what I did on here.

PAULAS VERSION!

My changed but still super delicious version!

STOCK
4 Large Chicken Breasts
4 Qts. Water
1 Onion Peeled and Diced
2 tsp. Italian seasoning
1 tsp. Lemon Pepper
3 minced garlic cloves
4 bay leaves
3 chicken boullion cubes
Salt and Pepper

**Add all ingredients in large pot and cook until chicken is tender. (About 35-45 minutes) Remove bay leaves and discard. Useless information by Tara.. I read somewhere that if you swallow a bay leaf it can tear up your insides by its sharp edges! Yikes.. be sure to discard those bay leaves! Remove Chicken and let it cool. When it is cool enough to touch, shred. You should now have about 3 Qts. stock.

Now for the SOUP:

2 C. Sliced Carrots
2 C. Sliced Celery
1 C. Sliced Mushrooms (I forgot to add mine in. Oops!)
3 TBS. chopped Fresh Parsley (I didn't add but want to try next time)
2 tsp. chopped Fresh Rosemary (diddo!)
1 C. grated Parmesan
3/4 C heavy cream
seasoning salt
pepper

For Soup: Bring stock back to a boil. Add carrots and cook for 3 minutes. Add Celery and continue to cook for 5-10 minutes. Add Egg noodles. (homemade egg noodle recipe here! When making chicken noodle soup.. you MUST make the noodles homemade!) Cook until done. Add shredded chicken, mushrooms, parsley and rosemary (if you decided to add the last 3) Add parmesan & heavy cream. Cook for another 2 minutes. The parmesan and cream is unreal in this soup. I'm not kidding. Don't skip out on those ingredients!

During this last part I warmed up a few loaves of french bread in the oven.

MMMMMmmmmmmmMMMMMMMmmmmmmm!

This recipe was SOOO yummy! You must try it. Tell me when you do.

P.S. Can you Utahns even believe this weather?? Where in the world did fall go? Anyway.. there is another reason to make this soup. Cause it is so stinkin' FRIGID here!! I also got my first cold of the season. I have ZERO voice.. my throat feels like I swallowed 100 bay leaves (haha.. I'm so funny!) and when I woke up this morning... my right eye was sealed shut.

Thank you Utah winter.. you came way too early!
