Oh I am SOOOO excited...

These are SOOOO stinkin' cute (and so fun to make!) if I may say so myself. I have been trying to get back in the swing of things since having Anisten. I can't believe how much more time it takes to do ANYTHING with 2 kids. WOW! Well.. I am going to try and keep up better on my website, do custom orders again, ya know...whatever. So.. to kick that off-- how about a sale?? FREE SHIPPING on these cute little numbers. Purchase them through my ETSY site HERE!

They are the same size and everything as all my other Car Litter Bags, just with cute flowers on them!

I LOVE this one. There will only be 1 available of this. I am out of the cute damask print now!

Slop Slop Sloppy Joes...

I made some really good Sloppy Joes yesterday for lunch. I got the recipe off of Little Birdie Secrets! Mmm.. they were delicious so I thought I would share the recipe here!

Sloppy Joe Turnovers

1 lb. ground beef
1/4 c. onion (you can sprinkle in dried, minced onion if you prefer)
1/2 c. ketchup
1/4 c. sour cream
1/2 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
10 oz. can refrigerated flaky biscuits

-Heat oven to 375 degrees. Brown ground beef and onion in a skillet. Add ketchup, sour cream, salt and garlic powder. Simmer for 2 minutes. Roll out biscuits (just stretch them out a bit with your hands). Place a heaping spoonful of meat mixture in the center of each biscuit. Fold over the biscuit to cover meat and seal the edges with a fork. Cut a slit on the top of biscuit. Bake turnovers on a cookie sheet for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown on top.

{Picture from her website!}
Braun said he would much rather have these sloppy joes over regular ones ANYDAY!! Mmm.. so moist and delicious! Try them!

And if you're real bored and in the mood for a little Adam Sandler.. You might enjoy a little of this! :)

Garage Sales!

So I want to buy a bike out here and get rid of it at the end of the summer. I have been looking on Craigs List for a good one. Well, check out the funny Garage Sale ad I just read. Am I dumb for thinking this is funny?

"Our desire to rid our house of stuff is your ticket for great bargains.

How bad do we want to purge our house of the stuff?

Here's a possible exchange:

You: How much is this Simpsons DVD?
Us: $6.00
You: $6.00...I don't know, that seems kinda steep.
Us: Okay fine two Simpsons DVDs plus a Simpsons character, some left over Halloween candy and a old Advertising text book for $3.00.
You: I just want the DVD's. Why do you still have Halloween candy anyway?
Us: Okay fine - you can buy the DVD's but you have to take something from the free box.
You: Here's you money - I just want to leave.

Nightly Walks :)

So now that it is FINALLY warming up here in good ole' Minnesota, we are starting to be able to enjoy this city! I've gotta say, it is beautiful here! When we first got here, I called my dad and told him how ugly this place was. I don't think I saw a single green leaf anywhere. Well not anymore! It is super pretty and we live in such a nice place. Aaahhh.. I love it! The other night we went on a walk along the river. Emery loved picking me flowers and telling me how "beautiful" everything was!

These are our multi-colored apartments! Don't ya LOVE them?? ha! :)
And then there was Diesel and Ellie having to sniff every.little.disgusting.thing.out.there. Gosh, how come dogs are so gross??

Emery had had enough with the pictures at this point! I tried to hurry-hence the blurriness!
Hope everyone is having a WONDERFUL day!!:)

Hairless Cats...

So we have a neighbor out here that owns 2 hairless cats. They are the
strangest/creepiest looking things I've ever seen. But my curiousity
is Killing me.. I REALLY want to knock on their door and ask if I can
pet them. Would that be weird? Ha!

Can you see them in this window? Kara thinks they look like little
pigs. Eek.. They're Creepy!

Check out how AMAZING this basement re-do is!! Oh my gosh.. I am in love with this ladies style! I try to do things like that (Remember Em's fish bowl bedroom and my crazy colored craft room??)

You have to go and see all the before and afters of it. A.D.O.R.A.B.L.E!!

Oh my.. did I even tell you about our basement catastrophe?? Gosh, I don't think I did. Well back in January we decided to finish our basement. It was finished the first week of April. We were BEYOND excited to get it finished. We've almost lived in our house for 3 years and I have wanted it done since the day we moved in. Well where we live, we have to have a "Sump Pump" in the basement so it pushes the water upwards and out of the basement. (I think??) Well apparently when the Sump Pump was installed, they installed it BROKEN!! You know how in your toilet, when you take the lid off there is a booey thingy? I guess it was cracked or something and they installed it like that. UGH. Sooo.. we had no idea and just figured everything was fine! So we started using our water in the basement (toilet, sink, etc) Anyway a few nights before we left, we were packing up and I noticed that under the stairs it seemed a little wet. Sure enough, we lifted up the carpet and it was pretty wet. Not super wet, just a little damp. We went and bought a bunch of fans and lifted that carpet up to dry. Well THE DAY BEFORE WE WERE LEAVING.. Yes, did you read that? LITERALLY THE DAY BEFORE WE LEFT our family came over to help us pack up and move and some neighbors came to see the newly finished basement. Braun stepped down onto the carpet and it was SOAKED. Like INSTANTLY soaking through your socks WET. It was BAD. Our entire basement had flooded. Can you even believe the luck? So we started ripping up the carpet as fast as we could. We were using those water vaccuum sucker things, fans and I don't think I have seen my husband more mad than I did that day. We were ringing out towel after towel into big buckets, we ripped up all the carpet and put it on our driveway to dry. Little did we know it was SEWAGE that flooded our basement. Eeew. Sick. It grosses me out even thinking about it. So now here we are almost $11,000 dollars in damage later, baseboards torn off, the bottom 4" of sheetrock cut off on the walls, no carpet, pad, and SEWAGE all over. Can you believe the luck? I hadn't even taken pictures of the dang thing yet!

Well... enough whining about my basement. I really need to clean my apartment.. ooh and then how about I give you a little tour of our living quarters? Oooh fun!

Look how funny. Yep, that's Em in Anistens carseat at lunch the other
day!! My first thought was..gosh she must have been real tired. Then I
noticed how HUGE my baby is. :( where did the time go?? Awww.

The Minnesota Children's Museum

Well yesterday we went to the Childrens Museum!! We are only about 5 minutes from it and I knew Emery would just love it. I am sure we will be there plenty more this summer! There are 4 floors full of kids activities, a few animals, bubble tanks, mazes, and tons more! We even got the wives that don't have kids to tag along with us! Here are a million pictures from yesterday! :)
This is what Emery is going to look like when she's older :) :)
Notice the turtle next to Anisten..
Anisten apparently thinks my cheek is a you know what..

Kelly is such a good sport!
Emery was deathly afraid of this stuffed animal spider. Gosh, I sure have girly girls.
Emery learned how to use scissors for the first time yesterday! She flipped out when we had to leave them behind.
Anisten doing what she does best.. gnawing everything in sight.

Kara and Kelsie!

Bailey and Kelly! Emery loves Bailey so much. She is a cute girl!
Kara is having her baby out here this summer! Isn't she awesome?? I am sure you remember Kara from our crazy Florida adventures 2 summers ago or our North Carolina ones last summer! We are wild!! :)
Em could barely sit still long enough for this picture..

We had such a fun time at the museum! I am sure we will be back there plenty more this summer :) Thanks ladies and kids for a fun day!
