I NEED OPINIONS???

Okay, Braun and I are thinking Hawaii instead of New York around the end of October/start of November. Simply because we can't find a hotel for cheaper than $500 a night. Ridiculous eh??

SOOO... Hawaii. Have you been? What island do you recommend going to? Hotels? Things to do?? Any hotels that are all inclusive?? ETC!! Neither of us have ever been, we have NO idea where to go or what to do. I will also be 8 months pregnant, so basically we just want a relaxing romantic vacation! Ooh La La!! :)

Please help and give us your opinions!!! Thanks a bunch!! :)
***Even if I don't know you... I would LOVE your opinion!***

Sorry it took SO LONG for me to get back to you this morning (saturday is the only day I get to sleep in) but I hope you got all my texts about hotels in NYC in good locations under 200 dollars a night! If you need any more help let me know. But if you want to go to NYC there are definitely ways of going and not having to pay 500 dollars a night! NYC is awesome and amazing and it would be such a fun trip--but Hawaii is so peaceful and relaxing! Tough decision--either way I am jealous!

We went to Maui for our honeymoon and it was amazing....but I have heard that Kauai is beautiful. If you decide to go to Maui let me know and I'll tell you about some great things to do. Also...we went to NYC one Sat night/sun this past summer and stayed in a pretty nice hotel for around 200$ a night...it wasn't right in Times Square or anything but it was only about ten min from Times Square on the subway so we felt really close. Anyways...either would be great!

Maui - The Grand Wailea I went there at 7 months pregnant and they catered to my big belly with body pillows and "pregnancy safe" sushi. Mmmm, makes me wanna get pregnant all over again.

Maui is the only way to go in my opinion! It is beautiful with great shopping, restaurants, hotels, golf courses. Its not too touristy (like Oahu), but not totally deserted like The Big Island. We've stayed at the Sheraton, Marriott and Hyatt and loved them all-none are all inclusive though. Ive heard Turtle Bay on Oahu in awesome though!

Loved hawaii. I think if you've never been to hawaii you need to go to oahu first and experience that( it is more up beat and party zone... movies on the beach stuff like that). We found a cheap hotel but we were ok with that because we were only a block from waikiki beach so we could walk pretty much everywhere. although we just went to maui last year and it was wonderful to( more laid back). just depends what your looking for. I got the book oahu revealed and it tells you all the fun places to hit... there is also a maui revealed etc. good luck that sounds fun.

Maui all the way! Of course that is the only island that I have ever been to but it is so awesome and relaxing and beautiful. Anyway you do it you will have fun. There is something about being without kids that makes vacations that much better!

We have only been to Maui... but we absolutely loved it but have heard from a lot of people that Kaui is the most beautiful and not as touristy! I would definetely go to Hawaii vs NY just because Hawaii is so much more relaxing for a pregnant women! As far as hotels, I would try to rent someone's timeshare... you can get a nice hotel for really cheap. We found our hotel on www.vrbo.com . Good luck!

Jennie is right! Lived on and LOVED Kauai. Oahu has all the tourist stuff but isn't the "real" hawaii. Waikiki feels like LA or somthing. I didn't like it. Way too crowded. Kauai is Beautiful. Princevill Resort on North shore is beautiful, but it does rain a lot up there. Shereton on South shore is beautiful too. There's not a lot of great shopping on Kauai (which I'm sure you'll hate) but it feels like a real island. It's definitely a relaxing place.

Ok so I LOVE Hawaii and am super jealous you are going!! My favorite islands are the big island and Maui. Ouahu is fun but it is really crowded and touristy and most of the other islands are really relaxed!! The big island has a temple!! We stayed in the outrigger hotel on the big island, it was like little cottages with kitchens and then we stayed and the Grand Wailea and it was AMAZING!! Good Luck deciding!!

We've been to Oahu, Maui and Kauai. I loved them all. If you are wanting to relax more than anything, Kauai is probably where you'd want to go. Maui is fantastic for whale watching. Of course Oahu is great if you want to do a temple session while you're there and do more touristy stuff. Pearl Harbor is also in Oahu and I highly recommend going there just for the experience. Words can't even describe the feeling there. No matter which island you choose, you're going to have such a great time! How long are you planning to go for? We spent just 9 days on each island and I'll tell you what? That just didn't seem like enough time. We're going back in January and I can't wait! Good luck making your decision. =)

I forgot to tell you, I have a book called Kauai Revealed that tells all the great things on the island. The same authors made a book for each island. I recommend getting the book for which ever island you decide before you go.

Fist, get a travel agent. They are awesome. And I personally recommend Maui, and Kauai. If you want to be in tourist land, go to waikii (sp?) beach. It sucked so bad when we went. But like I said. Travel agent. Tell them what you want, and they will set it all up. You'll be able to see everything you can, and skip all the blah. I cant believe you're going to Hawaii pregnant. I'd wait until next christmas, and you can go as a fam. It will be so much better Tara!!!

Yes Kauai is the romantic place to go!!! We went there on our Honeymoon and Jason looked up like everything and had this little tourist book and we went to all these secret beaches and swam in a waterfall etc etc.. tell Braun to talk to J. (I have heard it is a lot more tourist-y now though)
